July 20, 2011 John Robertson and Margaret Mitchell Turner

Some of the photos from the family album that Ken Robertson showed at the Mara Centennial Reunion.
Feel free to copy what you find important.

Please advise if you know of dates, places, spellings
or other inaccuracies!
This picture may well have been taken before 1900!
Margaret Mitchell Turner's Father.
Possibly a wedding picture?

Again any information to verify or determine a better date would be appreciated!
Was this the church they were married in?
Very well set up and I believe Phyllis has the hat and coat!
A great way to travel!
They were well presented!
I assume this is in June or so!
Robert Turner Robertson was born on April 12, 1905.
Margaret Robertson - the only picture I have of her
and I am not sure where she was working!
Any advice or suggestions are appreciated!

July 15, 16 and 17 Mara Reunion Centennial and Robertson Descendants

This is the start of what we hope to be an interactive blog wherein descendants/relatives/friends of the John, Edward, and Margaret Robertson families can keep track of their history and their family connections.

They came from times past to times present and had a ball!
Alice Robertson seemed to be having a great time at her Great Great Aunt Madge's!

For those who stayed at the Callen's Farm  it was a "Mooving" experience!
Keith and Rita Perry were there!
Madge and Mary Miller enjoyed the new Robertson window!
Grant and Joan brought along some grandkids - Hannah, Ethan and Scott!

Wally and Pat Martz with Mary!

This was the gathering spot on the farm for many of the relatives!

This is what it was well used for!
Robbie Robertson on the left, Ken Robertson in behind and then Nanette Robertson at the back
- Sherrie and Jeanne just kept gabbing
- Jack was at the back
and this Dutch guy named Hugh
kept swinging around the chandeliers all weekend!

Most of the time though it was like this - Eveline, Sherrie, Betty and Fred just visiting!

Madeline Robertson, Mary Miller, Lise and John Robertson with Alice on top were all there!

Stan had his daughter Cara drive out from Fernie!
He stayed in a comfy bed and breakfast
and made her sleep out under the trees!
We Robertsons are real kind to our kids
- here's where Ken Robertson made his kids sleep!
Sometimes the weather gods weren't smiling!

The pancake, sausage, egg breakfast
was great on Saturday!

Isabel Foote and Mary Miller
Madge Callens had to help Larry into the church.

Michelle,
? (one of the twerps whom I forgot the name of so let me know real quick!),
Ken, Jennifer, Phyllis, Jacqui,
Helen (Super Organizer and worker!),
Kathleen and John Robertson were there!
The General was there being supported by his Aunt!
Law and Order were there too!
(Craig and Alice!)
Larry was explaining how the whole world works to Pat and Wally!
Alice, Kim and Mike.
Most of the cousins got into the picture at the hall and not bad for a group of oldies!
Back row: Ian, Larry, Jack, Alan, Brian.
Middle row:  Rita, Ken, Helen (thanks to you!), Jeanne.
Front row: Phyllis, Peg and Grant.

Alice Robertson and John got a chance to visit with Alice's Great Great Aunt Isabel too!
